35.BI-MU: the list of exhibitors will be online soon, with many new features for an edition packed with thematic insights.

The 35.BI‑MU event is approaching, the international biennial dedicated to the industry manufacturing metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, robots, automation, digital and additive manufacturing, auxiliary and enabling technologies, scheduled at fieramilano Rho from 13 to 16 October .

Five months before the event, numerous companies have already confirmed their participation, including several major confirmations and returning industry leaders. The focus of the exhibition, promoted by UCIMU and organized by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, will be the latest-generation, digitalized, and interconnected machines and technologies that integrate Industry 4.0 solutions, automation systems, and AI, enabling typical digital factory processes.

The exhibition will be set up in pavilions 22 and 24 of the Fieramilano Rho exhibition center ; with the possibility of extending to pavilion 13, directly opposite the two currently occupied.

In addition to machine tools, there will be seven technology themes: RobotHeart, dedicated to robotics, automation, components, systems, and artificial intelligence, sponsored by SIRI; AMITALY, dedicated to the entire additive manufacturing supply chain, sponsored by AITA; BI-MU Digital, digital solutions for the smart factory, with advanced software, connectivity and data security technologies, sensors, and self-adaptive systems; Metrology and Testing , offering measuring instruments, testing machines, and machine vision; Power4Machines, dedicated to components for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic transmission, sponsored by FEDERTEC; Heat and surface treatments , systems and equipment for improving material performance; and, new to this edition, Tool Tech, dedicated to advanced tools for efficient, high-precision production. The exhibition offering will be rounded out by an overview of Revamping & Retrofitting , presenting a selection of machines and systems appropriately reconditioned and enhanced to meet the needs of the second-life market, complementary to the "new" market.

Alongside the technology exhibition, 35.BI-MU will present a series of thematic cultural initiatives of interest to visiting professionals.

With the proliferation of trade fairs and networking initiatives organized by individual companies at their own locations, the trade fair world is moving towards an increasingly hybrid formula that brings product presentations closer to the "cultural offering," which, for this edition of BI-MU, will feature numerous new activities.

In addition to the meetings dedicated to the technological trends characterizing the machine tool, robot and automation manufacturing industry, and the presentations of new products by individual companies, new features at this edition of BI-MU are the Forums dedicated to two of the sectors characterized by the most interesting development potential and particularly lively demand: Aerospace & Defense and Energy .

The two events entitled “90 minutes with the world of Aerospace and Defense” , scheduled for Wednesday 14 October , and “90 minutes with the world of Energy” , on Thursday 15 October , will each see a comparison between four representatives of some of the main large, medium and small sized companies, covering the broad spectrum of companies that make up each sector.

The current challenges, the main production process needs of companies operating in these sectors, and the specific requirements for production technology suppliers are some of the questions the roundtable participants will address. With these forums, BI-MU broadens its horizons, offering industry professionals attending the fair, through the voices of some of the key players in these sectors, a detailed discussion of the most interesting business opportunities for exhibitors.

Furthermore, the event will take place when the hyper-depreciation incentive is fully operational, thus benefiting from the benefits associated with this measure, which will certainly support domestic demand, which has been stalled in recent months.

The Education and Skills project is confirmed for young people, with its highlight being ROBOTGAMES , the automation and robotics competition promoted by UCIMU Academy and organized by EFIM for secondary school students, now in its second edition. On Thursday, October 15, the 12 finalist teams, from 11 schools across the country, will compete "innovatively," presenting their robotic automation project applied to industry. The area dedicated to schools invited to participate in BI-MU, with free or tutor-led visits, will feature a series of meetings dedicated to the new generations over the four days of the fair.

For students attending Higher Technical Institutes (ITS), AITA - Italian Association of Additive Technologies and EFIM are promoting the Additive Future Lab , a new national competition that introduces young talent to additive manufacturing technologies, which are increasingly central to industrial processes. The awards ceremony will take place on October 16th in the AMITALY area.

Another new feature of this edition will be the BI-MU FUTURETECH AWARDS , a prize that celebrates the most innovative manufacturing solutions presented at the fair. The competition is open to exhibitors at 35.BI-MU, who will compete in three categories: mechanical innovation, digitalization, and sustainability. This initiative highlights the event's value as a platform for documenting and anticipating technological advancements in industrial manufacturing.

All the awards ceremonies, together with the cultural and thematic in-depth meetings, will be hosted as always in the BI-MUpiù Arena , which will also be the venue for the inauguration of the event scheduled for the morning of Tuesday 13 October .

To make it easier for operators to reach the fair, including by train, a high-speed train stop will be activated directly at the fairgrounds for this edition of BI-MU.

Made in steel 2027: exhibition space sales open

Registration is now open for the twelfth edition of the international Conference & Exhibition dedicated to the steel industry. In a European market that is showing signs of stabilization after difficult years, the event confirms itself as a strategic platform for business and discussion between operators in the sector. The exhibition space sales campaign for Made in Steel 2027 , the international event dedicated to the steel industry, has officially begun. Scheduled for May 11, 12, and 13 at Fiera Milano , the event is organized by siderweb in conjunction with Fiera Milano. Interested companies can reserve their space at an event that, year after year, has established itself as an international reference point for steel producers, distributors, traders, service centers, processors, and users. An "Early Bird" option will also be available for exhibitors who book by June 19. The twelfth edition of Made in Steel presents itself with a renewed layout and expanded spaces in pavilions 8, 12 and 16 , designed to welcome an ever-increasing number of companies and promote visibility, networking and business opportunities along the entire steel supply chain. Following the growth of the 2025 edition, which attracted over 19,000 attendees and nearly 400 companies from all over the world, Made in Steel is looking to 2027 with the aim of further consolidating its role as a European platform for discussion, innovation, and development for the sector. "The opening of sales represents the first step towards an edition that aims to position the Italian steel industry in an even more international and business-oriented context," said Made in Steel CEO Paolo Morandi. "In a period of profound transformation for the European steel industry, the biennial event aims to be a place where companies, institutions, and stakeholders can meet to develop new growth opportunities and jointly address the challenges of competitiveness and industrial transition." In addition to the exhibition area, Made in Steel 2027 will also offer a rich program of conferences, round tables, and in-depth discussions dedicated to key topics in the steel industry: market dynamics, regulations, technological innovation, sustainability and the circular economy, geopolitics, and industrial competitiveness. The market context: between first signs of recovery and new competitive challenges The opening of registrations for Made in Steel 2027 comes at a particularly significant time for the European steel market. After three consecutive years of declining demand, the sector is showing signs of stabilization, despite a still highly uncertain environment. According to Eurofer's latest Economic and Steel Market Outlook, apparent steel consumption in the European Union is expected to return to growth in 2026, albeit at a moderate pace, supported by a gradual improvement in industrial activity and investment. However, demand levels remain lower than those recorded before the pandemic, and factors such as high energy costs, geopolitical tensions, and growing competitive pressure from non-European imports continue to weigh on demand. In Italy, the European Union's second-largest steel producer after Germany, companies in the supply chain are undergoing a transition phase that requires significant investments in energy efficiency, digitalization, and decarbonization. At the same time, strengthening strategic sectors such as construction, infrastructure, energy, and advanced manufacturing could help sustain demand in the coming years. Made in Steel is the international conference and exhibition dedicated to the steel industry. It is organized by siderweb - the steel community alongside Fiera Milano. Made in Steel is a conference and exhibition. It offers opportunities for business and reflection, networking and learning. It is both an exhibition showcase and a cultural hub that, with conferences, forums, and roundtables, aims to foster competitive collaboration and the exchange of information, essential elements for business growth. Since 2023, Made in Steel has been certified for sustainable event design and management according to the ISO20121 standard. siderweb - The Steel Community is the only online publication in Italy dedicated entirely to the steel industry.
