Neugart presents new rack and pinion drives

With a new integrated combination of gearhead, pinion, and rack, Neugart expands its portfolio to include a complete, high-performance solution for maximum precision and efficiency in rack and pinion applications. The new concept brings together perfectly matched components that enable high, dynamic, and at the same time precise power transmission.

The three components complement each other perfectly and ensure extremely quiet operation, maximum feed force, and precise positioning—essential features for modern automation and drive systems.

The racks are available with either straight or helical teeth and are made of tempered and induction-hardened steel. They cover a module range from 1.5 to 5 mm and comply with quality standard 6. Additional heat treatment and tooth grinding ensure high surface quality and a long service life. In addition to the standard lengths of 1000 mm and 2000 mm, custom lengths are also available.

Thanks to their high precision and flexibility, the integrated unit can be used in a wide range of applications. Pinions suitable for gearbox sizes from 060 to 200 are available, with a choice of helical or right-angle gearboxes in shaft or flange versions. The Precision Line offers maximum positioning accuracy, while the Economy Line provides robust and economical solutions for standard applications.

A decisive feature is the gearbox output shaft support, which can withstand high loads. The gearhead's output reliably accommodates high radial and axial forces, even under dynamic cycles and high loads. This ensures smooth and quiet power transmission, improves process quality, and contributes to the system's acoustic stability.

With the integrated combination of gearhead, rack, and pinion, Neugart offers a readily available system solution from a single source.
